ProcessMind Counselling & Psychotherapy

At ProcessMind Counselling & Psychotherapy, we understand the importance of expressing your truth and embracing your journey. Our approach prioritises your unique experiences and facilitates meaningful change through a holistic approach to mental health.

To do so, we rely on an integrative framework of therapy. This method is based on the philosophy that our underlying thoughts, feelings, and experiences can manifest in various ways—physically, in our relationships with others, or even in our surroundings. Through this therapeutic journey, individuals are guided to cultivate a more profound self-awareness, enabling them to explore and engage aspects of themselves that may adversely influence their daily lives.

Therapeutic Approaches

Our holistic approach is designed to support your unique recovery journey. During our sessions, we will engage with a single or a combination of modalities tailored to meet your needs. These include:

  • Process-Oriented Psychology

  • Parts Work

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy

  • Interpersonal Neurobiology

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

  • Felt Sense Polyvagal Model

  • Dialectical Behaviour Therapy

  • Multichannel Eye Movement Integration

  • Metabolic Psychology (coming soon)

  • Psychedelic Assisted Therapy (coming soon)

Your ProcessMind Therapist

Hello! My name is Philip. I am passionate about a humanistic approach to mental health. With my experience in helping individuals with complex mental health journeys, I understand how your mental well-being shapes your sense of self, your connections with others and your environment.

I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy (Holistic Practice), along with certificates in various therapeutic methods to support you along the way. In my free time, I love reading, getting creative in the kitchen, staying active, and spending joyful moments with my adorable Jack Russell dog, Eddie.

Services

Because everyone deserves to be heard. At ProcessMind Counselling and Psychotherapy, we recognise that no two stories are the same.

Individual Therapy

Whether you are carrying anxiety, trauma, navigating sadness, feeling lost in your mind, or simply trying to understand yourself better.

Therapy for Students & Young Adults

You are growing. It's okay not to have it all figured out. Being young today is complicated. There is a lot of pressure to perform, fit in, and choose a path before you know yourself. We support students and young adults as they navigate anxiety, identity, friendships, family expectations, and significant life questions.

Grief, Trauma & Life Transitions

Some moments change everything. Loss, heartbreak, betrayal, trauma— they shake the ground beneath us. If your world feels cracked open, therapy can be a place to grieve, rebuild, and find meaning again.

Support for Professionals & Caregivers

You give so much to others. Who holds space for you? If you feel burnt out, overwhelmed, or just running on empty– whether leading a team, raising a family, caring for someone ill, or holding it all together at work.

Living with Illness or Pain

Your body carries a lot. So does your heart. Chronic illness and pain do not just affect your health— they affect your hope, your identity, and your relationships. We offer compassionate support to help you cope, process, and live fully, even with what feels invisible to others.

In our sessions, we will explore your concerns with non-judgment. While I encourage a space free of labels, some of the mental health diagnoses I facilitate through therapy include:

  • Mood disorders such as Depression, Bipolar Disorder

  • Neurodevelopmental disorders such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

  • Anxiety disorders such as Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Agoraphobia, and Social Anxiety.

  • Personality disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD).

  • Psychotic disorders such as Schizophrenia

Intake Assessment & Bookings

On completion of the initial intake assessment form, you will receive a call from us for a free 20-30 minute consultation followed by booking your first session with me. I attempt to contact you within 24-48 hours from receiving your completed intake assessment form.

If you are worried you may harm yourself or someone else, or if someone you know is in immediate danger, call triple zero (000).

No, a referral is not necessary to make a counselling appointment.

Sometimes, there are good reasons to cancel appointments. However, unlike brief medical appointments, it is impractical to fill a cancelled counselling appointment.

50% of the appointment cost will be charged if you cancel on the day before your appointment. To reschedule appointments, please speak to us at least 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

100% of the appointment cost will be charged if you fail to show up for your appointment.

If your counsellor cannot make an appointment, they will provide as much notice as possible. In this case, you won't be charged a cancellation fee, and your consultation will be rescheduled.

Absolutely not! Therapy is becoming a popular and helpful resource for personal growth, self-discovery, and overcoming life’s challenges, rather than only being used for crisis management or mental health issues.

Currently, counsellors are not part of the Medicare scheme.

However, you may be eligible for rebates via your private health cover.

We are registered providers for private cover through the Australian Regional Health Group (ARHG) & Bupa. Please contact your relevant provider for information on your policy type.
